IGS application

The international gateway station for the international communication service access should be built in the capital Vientiane as the relay station, so as to set up the international information super highway to foreign international gateway station and develop the international communication access service.

International Gateway Station contains three business：

• International Voice business
• International Internet business
• International TV program business

With the aid of the Laos communication satellite, IGS communicates with foreign gateway station so as to realize the international information access. Its main functions are as follow:

• The IGS provides access port for the local ISTN, It communicates with specified foreign gateway station through communication satellite, and is connected to the International Telephone Network through the specified foreign gateway station, and realize the International Voice Communication.
• The IGS provides access port for the local Internet network, It communicates with specified foreign gateway station through communication satellite, and is connected to the International Internet Network through the specified foreign gateway station, and realize the international internet communication.
• The IGS receives International TV Program transmitted by the specified foreign gateway station through communication satellite, and provides International TV Program source to the DTH system and TVPC.
